#winter
I have hiking boots and hiking shoes and they grip well on anything but ice and slush. These cleats are awesome!! They are extremely easy to put on and take off. Just slide them over the toe and pull up over the heel. Literally just takes a couple of seconds. I am a graduate assistant at a university and am working on two masters degrees so needless to say, I have class no matter what the weather is. The school does a decent job of cleaning the sidewalks as long as they can keep up but a lot of times it is a treacherous walk from the car to my office or classroom. I slipped last week and went down the stairs. Luckily I was able to catch myself on the banister but that left my should sore for several days. I don't have that problem anymore.
These really go through the ice. I added a few photos that show the imprints the cleats make in the ice and slush. Also these things weigh nothing. I couldn't even tell that I had them on, seriously, they weigh next to nothing. Once you put them on your shoes you will instantly feel more secure when you are walking on the ice and snow. They really dig in and hold. I scooted my feet back and forth the first time I wore them and they actually broke up large chunks of ice.
The size of mine were exactly as described. I wear a size 12 and ordered an XL and you can see from the photo they fit my shoes perfectly.
With winter being here I recommend these to anyone who has to go outside. I can see these saving you from the pain of a broken bone. They are that effective. I also plan to keep them in my backpack this spring when the banks get muddy and slippery. I think they will be perfect to wear hiking or fishing to keep me from falling in. I am completely pleased with these cleats, they are perfect and work better than I ever thought they would.
I received the cleats for a discounted price or free in exchange for an honest review.
