Review KastKing BlackHawk Ultra-Light Telescopic Fishing Rod Retractable Fishing Pole Rods Saltwater Travel Spinning Fishing Rods

I love this fishing rod! Being collapsible I wasn't sure what to expect. I am blown away with the quality. Once extended the rod locks into place and I had n o problems at all with it wanting to collapse. It feels as strong as a single piece rod. The sensitivity on it is amazing. I could actually feel the shiner I was using for bait swimming around. I was able to catch a few fish when I tested it, a couple of blue gill on worms and one 7.5 pound catfish. The rod performed extremely well on both. It also showed a great strength when I got tangled in a tree. Don't try to cast when someone says your name and you turn to look at them...lol I paired the rod with KastKing LMA200 10+1 BB 6.3:1 Aluminum Spool Baitcasting Fishing Reel (Blue, Right Handed) and used KastKing Upgrade Package Braided Fishing Line (Green, 15LB).

The reel held about 150 yards of the braided 15 pound line.

I love the fact that it collapses down so small and comes with a carrying bag. It fits perfect in my backpack so I can take a full size reel and rod when I am backpacking, this is so much better than any of the other options out there. I own probably 24 other rods and this has become one of my favorites! The high density 24 ton carbon fiber and E-Glass composite leads to a wonderful rod!

If you want a great rod for everyday fishing or even to include in a bug out bag, car trunk, or to take backpacking, this should be your choice. I have found that KastKing makes awesome products. They are better than many of my high dollar fishing equipment. Don't hesitate to purchase this.

I received this fishing rod for a discount in exchange for an honest review.
