Review: Snug Baby Monitor for Smartphones and Tablets with Free App (Apple/Android)

This thing is beyond cool! It just took a few minutes to set it up. Scan the QR cod on the box to download the software for your phone. In my case a Galaxy S5. You then plug the monitor in to the wall and the back of the router. It will spin around testing itself. You click on the cog on the software and click set up device. You then touch the QR button and scan the QR code on the bottom of the monitor. It will then connect and you will be able to see what the monitor sees. I wanted ours on WiFi so there was one more step. I clicked the cog icon again and clicked WiFi and it asked which network and the password. After I entered those, I unplugged it and was ready to go.

The first photo I included is an actual screen shot taken from my phone to show you what I see. It is easy to work. Just click on the SnugCam icon on my phone then click camera. That's it! I can now see video in real time! I can completely control the camera from my phone. All I have to do is swipe and the camera will move the direction I controlled it to.
You can set it up so that it will alert you if it detects motion or sound. This is great so you don't have to constantly watch it. You can set it up so that it will email you. It also has a slot on the back for a micro sd card which will allow you to record video or take a picture.

We use this not only as a baby monitor but as a way to protect the house when we are not home. We set it up to alert us if there is movement or a sound. Luckily this hasn't happened, but if it did, I could immediately take a screen shot and send it to the police. It really provides peace of mind!
Overall I love this monitor. So do my children, my 6 and 3 year old love that it reminds them of R2D2 and they set in front of it dancing for hours.
I would recommend this for anyone with a baby, children or pets. You can set it up in their room and check in on them without leaving the couch. It is also great for someone who wants a color camera for security since you can watch your house from anywhere with an internet connection, including your phone. I love this thing!!!
